It's almost that time!Make your plans now to join the family on July 9th, 2023! Everyone will be gathering at the same location as last year to enjoy good memories, a few songs, great food and that patented Martin Hug.
Check-in starts at 10 AM, lunch's blessing is at 12 PM and the meeting starts at 1 PM. Look for more information on the Martin Family Reunion Facebook page or delivered to your mailbox soon. |
Family Scholarships: Don't forget to complete and submit school scholarship applications for eligible students at least a week before the reunion. You can find the application in the General Links menu at the top of this page.
Where there's family, there's foodThe 2023 reunion meal will be pork steaks, green beans and mashed potatoes. Martin family chefs are encouraged to prepare and bring their favorite sides and desserts. Keeping my fingers crossed for extra banana pudding this year!
Tip: If you are preparing and bringing a dish for a specific dietary need, consider preparing a small label so others with similar needs can eat wisely. FAVORITE RECIPES AND STORIES?

MARTIN Family SONGS
Music and singing has played a big role in the Martin family for generations. Check out the General Links menu above to find songs by Ted Daffan and audio recordings of songs and family interviews.
If the Family Recipes page doesn't make you hungry enough, you can always make your mouth water with the song, reportedly written by Glenda, called Nootsie's Kolaches. There is some debate whether it is sung to La Cucharacha or the Julida Polka.
Nootsie's kolaches!
Nootsie's kolaches!
Come and get them while they’re hot.
Nootsie's kolaches!
Nootsie's kolaches!
You can eat an awful lot.
Complete lyrics added to the official Martin Family Songbook!
The Martin Family Songbook is now available online! You can download the songbook to your computer or try downloading to your phone so you can sing loudly using the lyrics on your phone.
